Your privacy is very important to us at CAE. This Privacy Statement explains which information we receive from you, how it is used and how it is protected by CAE. This Privacy Statement and the procedures outlined herein comply with the EU Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 (“GDPR”) and the relevant national legislation of the EU Member States implementing the GDPR (together the "Regulations"). For the purposes of this Privacy Statement “CAE” refers to Parc Aviation Limited trading as CAE Parc Aviation and affiliated group companies. CAE is considered a data controller under the Regulations.

CAE therefore collects, uses, administers, records, transfers and stores (“Processes/Processing”) personal data in order to efficiently perform these services. This Processing is supported by means of analytical procedures. Among other things, CAE Processes personal data in order to:

- send you relevant updates and keep you informed where you have requested this;
- perform, manage and/or maintain your employment or contractual relationship where applicable;
- support accounting and payment processing;
- manage communication and transactions;
- answer queries or complaints.
CAE also processes personal data to comply with the applicable laws, e.g. security and sanction regulations, and generally for any other purpose that is necessary or related to the relationship between CAE and you.
The processing of special data is based on your consent.
Your consent is voluntary. You can withdraw your consent at any time which will result in the prompt termination of processing and consequently CAE’s placement services, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before your withdrawal and, if necessary, the deletion of all personal data.
The aforementioned facts are collectively identified as “Purposes”.
CAE processes your personal data only in conformity with the Regulations as applicable. CAE reserves the right to update and amend this data protection statement from time to time to the extent necessary in relation to our legitimate business interests such as changes to the Regulations or updates to the services provided by CAE.
CAE also uses anonymised data to perform various analyses and research and to create various benchmark databases. Such data is used for improving our placement services.
Disclosure of personal data
CAE may disclose your personal data to relevant members of the CAE group (e.g. CAE Training), business and joint venture partners, prospective employers or airline clients and relevant third parties who perform related services on CAE’s behalf. Any such disclosure will only be to the extent required for the Purposes and in accordance with the Regulation. CAE may disclose personal data in order to comply with legal requirements (e.g. in relation to audits, investigations or consultations with competent authorities and social security agencies), to respond to demands or to protect the interests of individuals. CAE has a data breach response plan in place.
Rights of data subject
As a data subject whose personal data is processed by CAE for the Purposes above, you have the right to access your personal data, obtain a copy of your personal data and/or request an update, correction and/or the transfer (e.g. for transfer to another IT environment) from CAE. Insofar as the Processing of personal data by CAE is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent. However, withdrawal will not prevent CAE from processing personal data if it is not based on your consent but is required for one of the Purposes above as permitted under the Regulations. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by CAE, to restrict the processing or to request its erasure insofar as there is an existing basis in accordance with the Regulations. CAE will respond to all such requests in accordance with the Regulations.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent personal data protection authority if you believe that CAE's personal data processing is not in compliance with regulations, or if CAE does not respond to your requests in a timely and/or appropriate manner, or if they are not answered at all.
Retention period of personal data
CAE will store your personal data for the duration of the placement services and as per the Regulations or other applicable laws permit or compel CAE. In this respect, administration regulations require CAE to generally keep personal data of candidates for a minimum of seven years.
Registration/video recordings via CCTV or video surveillance systems to secure our facilities will be stored only for such duration as necessary for the mentioned Purposes, which shall not exceed one month, except where the images identify an issue that requires further investigation.
In order to ensure that personal data is not kept longer than necessary, CAE will regularly review data retention as per the applicable statutory retention periods.
International data transfers
CAE operates in multiple jurisdictions, some of which are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Countries located outside the EEA may have data protection laws which do not provide the same level of protection for personal data as within the EEA. CAE transfers personal data outside the EEA only to the extent required for legitimate business purposes. CAE utilises standard means under the Regulations to legitimise data transfers outside the EEA.
